I have never ever heard anyone not born in Denmark speak Danish like a Dane. Danes understand English extremely well and speaks it all, maybe sounding a little awkwardly. My advice to everyone in the world if they come to Denmark, there is only only one phrase you will ever need: "Do you speak English?"

I know I’m late but I really wanna learn Danish and move there because it is my favourite country outside of where I live in (Australia). I can greet people and thanks to duolingo I know how to say bread apple and water. I can speak some Danish but - Nej, jeg kan ikke tale Dansk. I’m pretty sure I said “no, I don’t speak Danish.” Correct me if I’m wrong but has anyone got any tips for me?

Hello! Heres some basic words on danish. And i am going to translate it to english dont worry. Okay first hej means hi! Next. Is the days. Okay monday is mandag. Next tuesday is tirsdag. Next wednsday is onsdag. Next thursday is torsdag. Next friday is fredag. Next saturday is lørdag.( i know ø is not that like u maybe think Its an joke But thers æ ø and å in Danmark,) Next sunday is søndag. Great job!! Now Its like basic pets. Okay Turtle is skildpadde. Next dog is hund. Next lion is løve. Next cat is kat. Next bee is bi. Next hedgehog is pindsvin. Great!!! Thats all the basics! Now the basic drinks! Water is vand. Vine is vin. Orangejuice is appelsinjuice. Applejuice is Æblejuice. Multi-juice is multi-juice. ( Its the same if u type But u say it on danish like mul-ti-jui-ce) Great! Now colers! Green is grøn Red is rød Blue is blå Purple is lilla Yellow is gul Magenta is magenta ( same as the multi-juice its just ma-gen-ta!.) Thats the basic colers. Now thats it! 100 likes and theres an new part of danish words. Btw first Word is english and last is danish. And welcome!
